As the cryptocurrency market continues to experience significant fluctuations, investors are faced with the question of whether to hold or trade their Bitcoin. The HODL strategy, which stands for ’Hold On for Dear Life,’ has been a popular approach among investors since its inception more than a decade ago. Despite Bitcoin’s volatility and several bear markets, the HODL strategy remains a rational response to the unpredictable nature of the market. However, with April 2025 approaching, investors are looking for insights into the future price of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin: Should you hold or have a trading system?

The term “HODL” refers to the strategy of not selling one’s digital assets, even during extreme price fluctuations. This strategy remains relevant more than a decade later in 2025, despite Bitcoin’s latest volatility and three bear markets with declines of 78-86% since 2011. According to financial planners and analysts, HODL is a rational response to a market with significant fluctuations.

What to Expect from Bitcoin (BTC) Price in April 2025

With broader market recovery underway, BTC demand could strengthen in April, and its price could steadily recover and potentially retest the $90,000–$95,000 range. Bitcoin (BTC) kicked off March with strong bullish momentum, surging to a high of $96,484 by March 2. However, as market sentiment took a bearish turn, profit-taking intensified, dragging the leading coin down to a four-month low of $76,642 on March 11. Since then, Bitcoin has staged a recovery fueled by a broader market rebound and renewed demand. The coin now trades within an ascending parallel channel, a pattern that signals a gradual surge in BTC’s price as buying momentum intensifies.

Tokenized Securities Expand as Investors Seek Passive Income

Tokenized securities have been growing in popularity following Bitcoin’s record prices. Research by Messari shows a shift toward these securities after market peaks, with investors seeking predictable passive income. Tokenized bonds are the most reliable basis for tokenization, while stocks lag due to regulatory doubts. Tokenized treasuries serve as risk-off assets, offering low but secure passive income and tending to rise after crypto market tops, indicating a shift to yield-bearing assets.

Bitcoin Price Drawdown: Technical Expert No Longer Bullish on BTC

Technical expert Tony Severino has revealed he is no longer bullish on BTC and other crypto assets amid a recent Bitcoin price drawdown. He cited market cycles and the Elliott Wave Theory, highlighting that Bitcoin’s price recorded a 100% gain on both Wave 1 and Wave 5 in this bull run, suggesting the market may have peaked.
